90s Fashion Now
There are many things we loved about the 90s – the TV shows, the movies, the music…but the one thing that truly stole our hearts was the fashion. That’s why this beauty editor is happy to see many 90s trends making the ultimate comeback.
Nothing screams 90s like a crop top. This belly-baring trend turned heads at LL Cool J concerts throughout the decade, and today it’s back as an essential music festival fashion piece. Rock a crop top to your favorite band’s next gig or work it on the dance floor during a girl’s night out. Crop tops are stylish and sexy, allowing you to show off just enough skin.
Pair your crop top with the favorite 90s fad we can’t get enough of now: high-waisted shorts. This vintage trend is resurfacing with an even stronger 90s edge than before, taking acid washed jeans and ripped fringe to a whole new level. Try mixing and matching high-wasited shorts with a cute crop top, vibrant v-neck or trendy tank top.
Forget the black leather jacket – the 90s brought us a timeless trend we can’t ignore: the denim jacket/vest. Twenty years ago, a boyfriend denim jacket added instant cool to just about any outfit. Today, it still rings true as you can pair a jacket or vest with anything from a modern maxi dress to a classic button up blouse.
These are just a few fashion flashbacks that are taking over closets today; which is your favorite?
