Can There Really be Unwanted Fat Loss?

We usually welcome the term "fat loss" with open arms. However, fat loss in areas such as thighs, arms, hips and butt are a good thing, but as we age many of us will experience fat loss in areas such as our cheeks and eyes that is not ideal. The loss of fat in these areas can cause skin to look "sunken in", dull, and loose. Not everyone will experience facial fat loss and there is no way of telling who it will make its next victim. Although there is no way to prevent this dreaded occurrence, there are some precautions to be taken that will help you maintain a healthy complexion as you age. Starting by drinking plenty of water, maintaining a healthy diet, and taking advantage of vitamins that are made for your skin can help you prolong your youthful look. If you are one of the unfortunate ones who is dealing with facial fat loss, facial fillers such as (Sculptra and Radiesse) can temporarily give you a more youthful look. These fillers were specifically designed to help you look younger by replacing fat and collagen that is lost in the aging process.

Many who experience fat loss in their face will also look to plastic surgery in order to look young again. When in reality plastic surgery cannot give you facial fat back, it can only tighten your skin. When you're young it is easy to take full cheeks and bright eyes for granted. So stick to a healthy diet and consult your medical aesthetic provider for more options. As we get older we realize there is at least one place where we can be thankful for fat.....our face!
