Drink Water, Lose Weight?
This is the time of year that people everywhere are drinking more water. You may notice all of the commercials and the ads out right now promoting “healthy” flavored water. There are so many to choose from nowadays. However, one thing stays the same for any brand of water –drink sixteen ounces of water with no calories before each meal.
I’m sure many of you have heard about the benefits of doing this. There have been studies where they did evaluate and observe their subjects and found that weight loss occurred when people drank a glass of water before each meal. Why? Well, how do you feel after you drink two glasses of water right after one another? You tend to feel a bit full. So when you eat right after drinking the water, you tend to eat less.
In addition to aiding in weight loss, water does have several benefits when being consumed. Your body needs water. When you are fully hydrated your liver and your kidneys work more efficiently, which helps your metabolism stay higher.
So, in addition to your daily routine of working out, make sure you enjoy two glasses of water right before each meal. Create a log and jot down your starting weight and then track your weight each week. Make sure you are drinking sixteen ounces before each meal though. Combine this with a workout routine and you should feel much better within weeks. You will have more energy, will love the way you feel, and will be ready to take on the world!
