Long, hot showers remove oil from skin and can dry it out. Use warm water instead of hot and limit your time in the tub.
How To Build A Cold Weather Wardrobe
I live on the West Coast (aka, the land of rain and perpetually mild temperatures), but I spent a few days over the holidays in a much colder climate and picked up some tips on dressing for chillier temps. Here's a list of my top tips for outfitting yourself when you want to be warm and stylish at the same time:
- This is by far the most important tip in my opinion: buy a coat you love that will go with most of your clothing. I purchased this green pea coat from Zara and have been wearing it constantly since. The collar pops up to keep my neck warm too.
- Turn your favorite style stapes into cold weather material by adding tights. I love wearing wooly shorts with tights because it keeps me comfy and warm but they're also cute and flatter your figure. I bought my shorts from H&M and tights from Joe Fresh.
- Stylish boots! Can you believe these babies by Steve Madden are actually rain boots? I love them because they have the look of a motorcycle boot but are completely waterproof. Add some knee high socks poking out from your boots and you're good to go!
Do you ladies have any tips for staying stylish when it's cold?

Love it! I'll be traveling to a colder climate next week from sunny Phoenix and needed the confirmation that shorts with tights work. Wish I could still find warm coats, though!
