Apply body oil as soon as you get out of the shower to help lock in moisture; it is also a great way to soothe skin irritations.
Combination Treatments Work Best for Periorbital Rejuvenation
By Bill Adams, MD, FACS
Wrinkles around the eyes, also known as “laugh lines,” “crow’s feet,” or “periorbital wrinkles” are one of the most common, and early signs of aging.
You don’t need to just accept laugh lines as a foregone conclusion. The Adams Center has non-surgical treatments for crow’s feet that include Botox, Total FX laser, Lux 1540, and the newest additions – Skin Anti-Aging Complex nutritional supplement and OMNILUX new-U. By selectively combining these treatments we enable you to achieve the best result.
Botox and Dysport
Botox and Dysport work by reducing the activity of the muscles that cause laugh lines. Botox and Dysport are purified forms of the Clostridium botulinum bacterium. Both are safe, effective, time proven ways to diminish the wrinkles around eyes, forehead, lips and neck.
Botox or Dysport are injected into the areas of wrinkles in a procedure that typically takes 15 minutes or less, and benefits last for 4-8 months. Make sure that only safe, effective, FDA approved Botox and Dysport are used in any procedure.
TotalFX
TotalFX is the “gold standard” for overall non-surgical skin rejuvenation. Part of the UltraPulse system, the TotalFX laser includes both the broad area ActiveFX laser and the DeepFX laser.
This ablative (removes tissue layers), CO2 fractional laser uses “bridge therapy.” Named because only portions of the skin's surface are treated, leaving “bridges” of untouched skin; the bridge therapy system helps the regeneration and healing process.
The TotalFX program is designed to first treat a broad area with the ActiveFX procedure, and then treat focused areas with the DeepFX module. A single session is often all that's needed (while 5 — 6 treatments may be necessary with other laser systems). Treatment can be accomplished in 60 minutes or less.
Lux1540
The Lux1540 laser may also be utilized during this unique series of laugh line treatments. Lux1540 is a non-ablative laser (doesn’t remove tissue layers) that uses precision micro-beams to create deep, narrow treatment columns on both the skin's surface, and through the deeper layers. Skin rejuvenation and wrinkle reduction occurs as a result of the Lux1540 heating the layers of skin to cause collagen regeneration during the skin's natural healing process to create healthy new tissue.
During this procedure, zones of treated areas combine with untreated skin to allow for faster healing, less redness of the skin following treatment, and less downtime than other treatments.
Skin Anti-Aging Complex
Skin Anti-Aging Complex is a uniquely formulated dietary supplement that defends your skin against premature aging, from the inside out. AstraREAL® Astaxanthin (an extremely powerful antioxidant), and other vitamins and botanicals provide outstanding nutritional support for skin health to reduce fine lines and wrinkles, while improving the moisture levels and elasticity of your skin.
OMNILUX new-U
OMNILUX new-U is the only FDA approved hand-held light therapy device that allows you to minimize crow’s feet. The light frequency used in new-U stimulates collagen production, increases blood flow to the cells, helps increase tissue oxygenation and detoxification procedures.
The staff and I select the right combination for you to achieve the best result in the appearance of the area around the eye.
