The Next Anti-Aging Mask

Once you turn 25, it’s time to start fighting the aging process. Unfortunately, most anti-aging treatments are expensive and very few of us can afford to keep up with a weekly regimen of injections and using high-end cosmeceuticals.

I recently had the chance to try the Bel Mondo Bio Cellulose Anti-Aging Mask from Taiwan. It’s a Paper Mask that is rich in age-defying ingredients and sticks to the skin while allowing the cells to breathe. Not only is it easy to apply, but those of us with sensitive skin need not worry about an allergic reaction. Even better, you don’t need to spend 20 minutes lying down still. The mask stays close to the skin and you can walk around and work on your laptop while giving your skin a youth boosting experience.

The mask is made with nanofiber cloth, which allows it to cling to the surface of your face. One of the active ingredients is palmitoyl pentapeptide, which stimulates natural collagen production. Collagen is responsible for the firm, moist, smooth skin we have in youth. As you age, your body produces less collagen and your skin starts to break down and create wrinkles.

Make sure to keep the mask on until everything has absorbed. If you have young kids I recommend using it when they are not at home. The mask contours so well to your face shape that it gives you a “Kabuki theatre” look. When you first take it out of its package it is very saturated. Only when the mask is no longer moist can you remove it, but do not wash your face. If there are traces of the mask on your skin after your treatment just massage it in to reap the benefits.

A bio cellulose mask is more absorbent, so the skin gets the maximum benefits through transdermal absorption. Other ingredients include aloe and hydrolyzed milk, which soften the skin. Extracts such as keratin and algae help skin retain moisture and strengthen the epidermis, while ceramide seals in hydration under the skin longer. The result is a naturally plumper and smoother looking face.

A one-application mask retails for $20 plus S&H but a box of five costs only $90.Compared to a luxury spa mask treatment  that can range from $100 to $250 per appointment, the Bel Mondo Mask is a much more affordable option for home use.
