Vitalize Peel ®

BENEFITS

The Vitalize Peel® is a superficial chemical peel that requires little to no downtime, and is designed for use on all skin types. Patients often receive a Vitalize Peel® over lunch, and return to work or normal activities immediately following. The formula includes alpha-hydroxy acids, beta-hydroxy acids, resorcinol, and retinoic acid obtained by a physician for the improvement of skin texture and tone. The Vitalize Peel® is also used to reduce the appearance of age spots, sun damage, freckles and fine lines.

DESCRIPTION OF TREATMENT

At the start of a Vitalize Peel®, an experienced provider will perform a general cleansing of the area to be treated before the solution is applied. Next, the solution will be evenly coated over the area to be treated. Protective coverings for the eyes are distributed at this time. During the peel application, it is normal to feel a warm, stinging sensation. The peel is then removed after 15-20 minutes.

An entire Vitalize Peel® can last 30 minutes to 1 hour. Patients report immediate, visible results following the procedure. There is no down time associated with this treatment, and normal activities may be resumed directly after. More dramatic results are generally seen after a series of 4-6 Vitalize Peels® , which should be spaced 3-4 weeks apart.

SIDE EFFECTS

The Vitalize Peel® can cause some facial redness during the first few hours after treatment. Within 48 hours, mild flaking will most likely occur. This is considered normal, and can be controlled with an effective moisturizer. It is important to use a high-grade SPF, and to limit sun exposure as much as possible for 1-2 weeks.

SAFETY

Several peels are designed with built-in safety valves, to prevent the provider from allowing the chemical agents to over penetrate. Be sure to discuss these treatment options and safety concerns with a well-qualified and experienced provider of the Vitalize Peel®.

AVERAGE COST

The cost of a Vitalize Peel® can vary from $100-200 per individual application. These prices vary on the provider, and geographical location of the treatment facility
