Your Daily Vitamin Dose

You already know that vitamins are good for your skin. Still, you don’t get enough each day. What should you do about that? For starters, you can try to eat more nutritious foods like fruits, vegetables and protein. Not only will you become stronger and fitter, your skin will benefit from all the nutrients. Then, you can try to take supplements in the form of pills, juices or shakes. They give you an extra boost of necessary nourishment. No matter which source you get your vitamins from, they will surely do wonders for your body and skin.

Fruits and Vegetables

Fruits and vegetables are great sources of nutrition. Many of them contain an abundant amount of vitamins. Oranges, for example, have a lot of vitamin C, which fights sun damage that causes skin to age. Strawberries, bananas and broccoli all contain vitamin B6, which boosts the immune system. Other vegetables also contain vitamin B9, or folic acid, which helps cell growth. All of these help your skin look younger and suppler.

Proteins

Protein-rich foods such as fish, poultry and soy contain vitamin B12, which helps produce red blood cells. Eating these foods also helps skin cells regenerate, prolonging the aging process.

Supplements

If you still are not getting enough vitamins from food, try taking supplements. Over-the-counter supplement pills, or even gummy vitamins, are great sources of extra nutrition. Protein shakes, juices and milk also make viable sources.
