Skincare of the Stars

It’s the dead of winter and you no doubt have noticed your skin tends to dry out a little or if you’re like me, a lot around this time of year.  Not only is dry skin painful but it can be so irritating that when your generic body lotion isn’t doing the trick: you like me might be forced to take nixing your dryness to extremes.

Hence my self-imposed experiment a few weeks back.  I was so tired of my dry, cracked hands that I took moisturizing to a whole new albeit desperate level. It involved slathering my hands (and consequently my shirt, hair, sink …you get the idea) in an uber-thick petroleum jelly like substance before trying to slip cotton gloves on my hands. Did I mention my dog was watching this whole scenario play out? Right up until the point I managed, after three unsuccessful attempts, to slip those nifty gloves on. Then like any good dog she hid in embarrassment for her owner.

Did the lengthy experiment work? Yes.

But would it have been easier if I just found a better moisturizer overall?  YES!!!

Enter Alba Botanica’s Very Emollient Body Lotion.

A product that’s natural, organic and cruelty free.  Now that’s something we can all get behind and apparently so can Hollywood celebs like Brooke Burke!

The DWTS host was spotted picking up some products from the skin-friendly line, including the moisture rich body lotion, on a recent shopping trip. Why you ask did this particular body lotion snag Ms. Brooke’s attention?

While we can only speculate…it’s some pretty worthy speculation.

You see the Very Emollient Body Lotion is not only free of any animal by-products but its rich in botanical elements like aloe vera, green tea and chamomile extracts plus antioxidants to nourish skin. Oh and if that wasn’t enough the lotion is also hypo-allergenic.

If you want the easy way out that makes dry, itchy skin a thing of the past…try Alba Botanica’s Very Emollient Body Lotion, no gloves required.
